Getting older doesn't mean birthday parties have to be less fun. Are you looking for fun ways to celebrate, whether it's about to be your 30th, 40th, 50th, or higher? Do you think adult birthday parties should rival kid birthday parties, at least for the fun factor?
DON'T MISS OUT
Birthdays are like seasons—some are welcomed with open arms, and others may take a little warming up to. When you were a kid, it was so easy to pick a favorite theme or place to host your party. Have everyone come in their favorite pajamas or athleisure and bring their go-to board game from way back when, like Dream Phone or Guess Who? And for an extra dose of nostalgia, have goody bags for the winners. If you want to go the extra step, host the party at a spa instead. Is it worth getting a year older without the frosting and candles? We think not. Ask each guest to forgo gifts and bring their favorite cake instead—and then taste them all.
Let's Stay in Touch
Theme parties are just more fun. Visit great cities of the world such as Paris or Hollywood. Re-create bygone eras of the Roaring 20s or a time when pirates sailed the seven seas. Live in a fairytale world for an evening, or relive the disco era. All of this is possible — indeed, easy — with party decorations , tableware, favors and more from Shindigz.
Growing up with a big extended family, birthdays in my household were basically celebrated all month long so everyone could get in on the celebrating — which meant multiple parties and multiple cakes. I have friends who aren't fans of celebrating birthdays as adults , which I totally get. Birthdays come with expectations, the stress of organizing it, that fear of getting older, plus no one ever wants to feel like they're forcing people to spend their day and money honoring their existence.
