The Barbican is an incredible place. Joris proposed to Anna there about a year earlier. From the very beginning we felt confident that he understood the aesthetic we were going for — and he delivered exactly what we had in mind.

After we’ve gotten ready, we’d love to take some photos at the Barbican before the ceremony.
What a wedding to finish with! My favourite part was the ride on the wedding bus from Clissold House to Bistrotheque. It was the beginning of the partying and everyone was just in the best mood! I wanted my look to be a bit less mainstream, with a focus on independent designers and a touch of high street style. I live in London which is filled with so many amazing independent women designers my sister-in-law Jessie Harris being one of them so I wanted to utilise what was on my doorstep. My dress and jewellery were both made by London based independent designers who I know personally- and as someone who works in the creative industry myself, I loved supporting other women who are making a living in the creative field. I had a lot of help and support from Jessie in helping me put my look together, and of course making my amazing jewellery. It took me forever to try and find a photographer that I loved, I always knew exactly what I wanted and I am very picky!! As soon as I found Ruth online I knew she was the only one who could photograph our wedding; Her style fitted my vision perfectly and so I emailed her before we even had a date set!
When Kwesi and Cherelle were planning their Bistrotheque wedding, this is the message they sent me:. We feel it is these moments that will last a lifetime. So I knew it would be a special day, and that they really appreciated my style of unposed documentary wedding photography.
Bistrotheque is a London wedding venue housed in a converted clothing factory in the East End. The Private Dining Room PDR at Bistrotheque is a bright, airy and elegant space that can be transformed to suit your own style and tastes — the perfect blank canvas. As well as delicious food and drink the extremely competent and professional team will be happy to fix flowers, provide a pianist, organise hand written placement cards or rustle up a troupe of performers in their diligent attention to the finer details of staging.
