Andrea J. Burney, APR. Walking down the aisle to receive your college degree is a satisfying feeling, and Dionne Daniels of Danville can attest to this emotion. Daniels has accomplished a lot in her 19 years. The mother of a two-year-old, she has successfully juggled parenthood, school, and a part-time job. Daniels says. A graduate of Galileo Magnet High School, Daniels was introduced to DCC early on through a number of dual enrollment courses that she took in high school. Daniels, the daughter of Brenda Gresham, is a first-generation college student, and says she has received lots of encouragement to continue her education by her grandmother and a Galileo school counselor, Kathy Shanks. Daniels completed studies for her Associate of Arts and Science Degree in Liberal Arts in Summer , but she is returning to DCC in the fall semester to take a few more courses before she transfers to Averett University in Spring
